How much does it cost to move?

We treat each quote individually and base the price on your specific needs. These include the type of vehicle and the size of the team we will need.

What is included in the quotation?

Each quotation is different as we tailor make each one to suit your unique requirements. We provide you with a complete service that incorporates all costs such as:

  • All packaging materials; boxes, tape, newsprint, wardrobe boxes, bubble wrap and corrugated paper.
  • Full packing and unpacking service.
  • Full removal service - we dismantle items such as beds, wardrobes and so on. We also remove things from walls and ceilings, such as bookshelves and chandeliers.
  • Waste disposal – furniture or mattresses that you don’t require for your new home.
So when should I start planning my move?

That's easy - as soon as you know you are definitely moving call Armstrong to arrange for a no obligation pre-move survey. We will quickly assess your requirements and establish a time scale, costs, special details, etc.

How much notice must I give to book a date for packing or moving?

We recommend that you give a minimum of 5 Days notice, although if this is not possible we will endeavor to meet your requirements. Ideally, as soon as you know when you want to move you should confirm dates with us.

How long does it take to move?

This depends on many factors, such as the weather conditions, size of your shipment, time required to load and unload, and distance your shipment is traveling.

Can I do my own packing?

Yes you can. A wide range of packing materials is available to order. We will arrange for delivery prior to the moving date. Please call us if you need any packing advice.

Can I move jewelry and other valuables?

Items of extraordinary value such as jewelry, watches, money, photographs, antiques and stamp collections can be included in your shipment, provided you notify us in writing about these items before packing or moving day. However, we strongly recommend that you carry irreplaceable and expensive articles with you, or make other arrangements for their transport.

Can you assemble/disassemble furniture?

Yes we can, providing it is not a specialist assemble or disassemble

Do you provide Storage?

Yes! If you require storage we offer discounted rates for consignments we are also shipping overseas. We also offer highly competitive rates for short term and long term storage.

Do I have to pay VAT?

Yes, we are VAT compliant as required by the Kenya Revenue Authority.

When do I need to pay?

The payment terms will be advised on your quotation.

How do I pay?

We accept cash and check payment. Please note that check payment should be made 5 business days prior to the removal date to allow clearing. Whatever your requirements, please feel free to contact us for advice, we’re always happy to help.
